PARRY SOUND, ON – Norm Miller, MPP for Parry Sound-Muskoka, and a team of volunteers took to the Parry Sound Fitness Trail to pick up litter in honour of Earth Day yesterday.

“I know a lot of people took some time out of their day on Sunday to do something for our environment and I want to thank them all,” said Miller. “I want to especially thank my team who gave up their time on this beautiful spring morning to pick up garbage and recycling along the Fitness Trail and around the skateboard park.”

“The theme of this year’s Earth Day is End Plastic Pollution and I have to say, when the snow finally receded, it revealed a lot of plastic trash including pop bottles, food wrappers, take out containers and drinking straws as well as aluminum cans, cigarette packages and coffee cups.”
